Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on the different types of fuel filter elements (paper, sintered bronze, or steel mesh)? Thanks. |

Paper is fine for most things, but cannot be cleaned and inspection usually isn't possible. Plastic and glass which would make inspection possible is a safety hazard. Sintered bronze is usually paired with another filter because they don't hold much. They are too limited in capacity for stand alone use. Stainless mesh filters are usually in expensive take-apart filters. They are nice if the proper mesh is used, but relatively expensive. |

I always have used the Fram canister type with the replaceable element. It flows well and never ever gives any trouble. One man's advice regards, max |
