Simple question for my own referance. What other mopar or any newer vehicles can I swap rear disk brakes from to my '63 Dart?

Well I just put the KH setup on the front and thought it would be nice to have 4 wheel discs. No particular reason really. Just curious what would swap.
I have found drilled and slotted rotors for the front though. And thought of maybe going away from the organic pads. But also not sure how bimetals would do on the KH rotors.

I have a setup from The Streetrod Mfg Inc (tsm-mfg.com) on my '64 Dart roadcourse car w/8.75" rear axle. Been on there since 2002. They are a pretty solid step up from drums when you are trying to stop in the wet or from a high speed to a very low speed. Lockup sucks.

The cost-benefit is way, way, way poorer for rear discs than for front discs.

Cost as far as what? I found a set of the Ford rear disks on Ebay for $50. Self rebuild and self instalation and I'm out maybe $100. Was just curious how many other disc setups would swap so I can keep my options open and be on the lookout... Thanks Lou, I'll give them a look.

As I understand it, rear discs from a mid 90's Jeep Grand Cherokee are a virtual bolt-in for the 8.25 rear end. A TSR kit is also available for the 7.25 rear (as well as the 8.75).

I agree that front discs are definitely needed way before rears, but I would not have imagined the difference it made to go to rear discs for performance/emergency driving. No, my rear drums were not in bad shape or adjusted wrong.

I found a big improvement with a metering valve, that engages the rear drum brakes at the same time as the front discs. SSDan, is that "see you in a week?" How about this one: 下周二再见?

Yes, I was using a metering valve and played with wheel cylinders too. The drums were fine unless I was trying to stop from 70+ MPH to below 30 and they would self-energize and lock at low speed unless you reduced pedal pressure. Discs don't do that.

What kind of pads do you run Lou? I have a 50/50 master and have seen bigger bore 60/40 masters.

My 65 Valaint with 75 Unicast discs on the front and Explorer discs on the rear is fine with a stock 75 combo valve.

If you drive in the city all the time rear discs are no big thing.....22 kms of 7% grade is a whole nuther story.

Late 60sVolvos with 4whl/discs left me spoiled .......
