Can someone verify these are the factory seat belt mounts? When I got the car someone had installed a set of aftermarket belts and I just assumed these were something they installed with the belts. I was expecting them to be on the transmission tunnel and into the backside of the rockers like on later A-bodies. TIA

Looks like a factory mount to me, and if not it looks like a well reinforced place to mount yours anyway.

I don't remember on '63s. That was the 1st year of the compact Dart, so they might have used those and then switched to the later style in '64, which is what my '64 Dart has. Either way, those look fine. The belt I'm bringing should bolt up to that.

You might buy some grade 8 bolts and washers to fit those holes and I have the belts. You can run a punch up through those holes through your carpet to locate them and make a hole in the carpet with a knife.

Why not use the aftermarket belts that were already installed? Those should be fine for tech at Hagerstown. I'll bring mine in any case.

Lou

Thanks Lou. I found my box of belts and will get them in tonight. I couldn't find any seat belt bolts (must be in another box) or 7/16 shoulder bolts at the hardware store so I just got some 7/16 grade 8's.

On the plus side, the four speed is working sweet and makes the car so much better to drive than that three on the tree.

See you at the track.

Great!! I'll bring my extra belt just in case. I have so many I need to get rid of some.

If you happen to have any older ones or the correct ones for my car I'd be interested in buying a set. I've got kids so I need some for the back too.

Any colors you want, or can't use? Will look.
