Post subject: cam end play and button
PostPosted: Sat Aug 24, 2002 12:56 pm
I have read a couple of articles regarding the setting of the end play and the numbers were from .010 to .050. I was wondering what the "ideal" value might be. I am currently at .005 and wondering how much more room to give it. thinking of .010 for a final value.

Thanks
Steve

I had a neat button I built from an old allen wrench that worked out real nice. The cam bolt I changed out to a cap screw, I think thats what they are called, and then ground a nice round end on an old allen wrench and cut to length. It is very easy to build and make adjustments for fine tunning. I planned on using a little loc-tite on the bolt for the final assembly. If I can get the camera working I will post pictures, with chucks help.
