I recently pickup a combination bracket w/ coil and ECU w/heat sink out of a 1997 Blazer. IT has a part number of 12568466 on the bracket . It is a complete unit. The problem is that it has pin connectors instead of spades. Do I assume that the pins are the same arrangement as the spade terminals? or can someone steer me in the right direction as to how this thing wires up? there are no numbers on the coil or the ECU as to what pin is what. The coil has 3 pins with a male coil wire connector and the ecu has 4. Has anyone wired one of these before? I don't want to go on assumptions. Thanks in advance. MaX |

I have the 3-pin gm coil. (Picture from Dan's write-up. Thanks for revamping that, btw.) Everyone else seems to be using the 4 pin version. The coil has no markings as to what's what, so I have no idea which pin is A and which is C. You will be better off using the older 4 pin module, you will have to trim off the fin closest to back side of the module to get it to fit. Side note the connector for the coil is not generally at parts stores (hope you got it with the rest of this unit) if not PM me for the part # |
