I recently replace my fuel line from me fuel pump tothe carb instead of replaceing the steel line I took a about a 1 foot piece of 5/16 steel line and cut it in half and run fuel injection hose between them because my holley 1945 1 bbl was boiling the gas out of the line and carb now,It has a very rough idle nearly have to keep foot on the pedal to keep idleing, also it has abad hesitation till about 2000 rpm after that it runs fine ps the moter is out of a 71 duster, what could be my problem :?
One other thng when I put the new steel line into the holley it almost seem like the brass fitting almost seemed stripped in the carb but it isn't leaking any advice greatly useful thank you

If nothing else has changed, and the mod seems to be functioning fine (no leaks), my guess would be the carb inlet fitting.

When I got my Dart it had a rebuilt Carter BBS that had a similar issue (the brass inlet fitting spun as if stripped). I rebuilt the carb, used some JD Weld on the inlet fitting, and then adjusted the float level. I don't particularly recommend using JD Weld on your carb inlet fitting, but it does work, just don't plan on replacing that fitting ever again.

EDIT: I forgot to include my reasoning.
If the brass fitting (or the bowl threads) are stripped, this could mess with the float level. Ensuring first that the inlet fitting is securely in place when the float level is adjusted may fix the issue. If the fitting itself is stripped a rebuild kit should have a replacement. If the threads on the float bowl are stripped, well... JD Weld or find a new float bowl :?
