i have a carter reman 2 barrel carb on my slant 6. my major vacuum leak is on the shaft that holds the discs ....how do i seal these?? .theres no rubber gasket or bushing??? thanks jimbo |

Thats a very common leakage area on the BBD's. You'll have to take it down to a carb shop and have the throttle shaft rebushed. It'll probably run you around $60 or $80. If you just bought the carb I would just go get my money back and find a NOS one online. |

thanks man. i fixed the problem by adding some rubber o rings but i'm having a problem .only one barrel is working it seems like the other isn't getting enough suction . i've already changed everthing possible that controls any outside vacuum leak from the carb. what would be causing only 1 barrel to work at idle ????? thanks jim |
