Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a '78 D100? Having problems with the horn. I want to see if there is a relay in the circuit. I metered out what I could and found that the sandwhich swich in the steering column was bad (separating foam turned to powder in the last 30 years!) Right now I only make the ground with a test light on certain steering wheel positions. Is this the roller or contact plate acting up? Mike

Also, you might check that the jumper wire that grounds the column to the dash is still there and in good shape... it usually is right at the clamp that holds the column to the dash.

Yes there is a horn relay. Not listed in haynes or clymers. on my 78
it was on lthe left hand fenderwell.Depending on contact ring a
spring from a bic click a poprivet just the round part not the
nail. A soldering iron and a short chunk of 16 gauge. Solder
wire to mushroom and bottom of spring. Contact strips in
horn get grody a little soft pencil eraser will clean it. WHITE
wire 18 or 20 ga.is trigger to relay or same ga. yellow some
times. Relay may be plug in or eyelet terminal. All I got.
