If you really feel the need for copper: http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... sey#239488

If one of the good large-bore Australian gaskets will do: http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... ket#272949

Copper works, but it's a chore to keep the engine dry. Unless you're running a very high compression ratio, a lot of boost or a lot of nitrous the copper gasket usually isn't needed.

I second the Aussie Gasket, they have a nice fat fire ring compared to the Fel-pro gasket (and most guys run the Fel-pro gasket up to the mid-11's in SCR if not a bit more)...

Why do you think you need copper? Maybe we can guide you to the correct gasket for your app.

Let's see.. You're already carrying 125 Horses in a hose... Gonna bump that up?

Contact Charlie! You might want to talk to him about using a boat load of Nitrous anyway.

i just figured while i have engine apart switching to 11:1 pistons i should get a good headgasket, i'm also spraying 125 shot. so i just wanted something better than stock

You'll need a lot more than a good head gasket to be spraying on 11-1.

Trust me on this one. 8)

Yikes. Good luck keeping that together. Generally speaking, a lower compression ratio and a little more N2O is faster. Same as with supercharging.

You can spray at higher compressions, but you really, really have to watch the tune up. As fast as things can go bad in a 9-1 motor on spray, they will go bad a ton faster at higher compression.

He's going in the right direction with a copper head gasket, but really needs to have head studs too. O-ringing the decks would also be a good thing to do.
