Does the windage/crank scapper make any real difference? Ive seen stuff about them about the extra oil on the rotating assembly can rob some horsepower but is there evidence of this? or any estimations of the gains from installing this on your performance motor?

KJ hasn't been around for a while.

I installed a Jeffery 2" extension pan, and have a template for a stroker crank scraper from Doc. Haven't built the scraper yet as the deep pan seems to have solved my stroker's oil burn problem. Perhaps this winter while I inspect and modify the bottom end. I was too trusting of the machine shop that did the initial build. Lots of issues.

A windage tray would still help keep aeration down. A bit of sheet metal and some snips can solve that problem. As I haven't run into any problems at 5000 rpm, re-evalute unless you turn higher or beyond the quarter mile. If you exceed that rpm or distance, you may need to look into something to keep the bubbles out of your pickup. I think Mike makes a scraper for the stock stroke motors, Doc may also. Mike's deep sump pans are excellent.

Mats! See everybody there!

Mike Jeffrey will probably be making a run of trays soon. He also sells a cut-to-fit scraper. 308/324-3576 after 8pm central.

I have one of Kevin's scrpaers in my motor. It was abot $50 more than a Jeffrey scraper kit, and still required a lot of clearancing to make it fit.

Real world, a tray is worth maybe 7 hp about 3000 rpm. A scraper will be about the same.

That is what got Kevin in trouble here, he was making wild claims about his parts, and never produced any proof to back up his claims. That and the fact that he just went off the deep end.
