found a loose slant six exhaust manifold in the local pick a part, has a good spring on the exhaust dampner. To get the spring free, would one take a hammer and punch and drive the mounting shaft that contains the flap and spring , through the manifold? Will take a long skinny punch to do that, but that looks like what it will take. Is that correct?
