i lost the rear in my a100 some months ago... i dropped the drive shaft but haven't gotten around to fixing the rear yet... i went to start it today and of course the trusty slant fired right up, so at idle (which may be a tad high) i decided to shift into reverse and drive and back into park... i expected the noise when putting it into park but it clinked and clanked some in reverse and drive... is this normal?

Broken driveshaft can damage the rear sprag in a Torquflite. Time to pull the trans apart and check.

Driving it with a damaged sprag can lead to really bad things happening.

just to clarify, i didn't break the drive shaft... the rear end burned up on the highway and i stopped driving it... i was running it with the drive shaft completely disconnected... in the driveway...

never mind... it was the front yoke spinning and clanking... i forgot to take it off... thanks...
