So, the last person who had my car didn't take good care of it (I.E. Jumping drive through medians with it). So the spring system in the rear is all messed up, if someone could either meet me or send me a detailed picture of their trunk set up I would be very happy.

Are you talking about the rear leaf springs or the trunk torsion bars? What do you mean by "trunk set up"?

Pick-A-Part Turner used to have a 1973 Dart in the mopar row, that still had it's trunk springs and hardware intact.

All mopars of that vintage used them-they are plastic square "bobbins". All the same.

well bad news the metal that the bars ride in is completely bend up and after straightening it up it bends when you try and close the trunk lid, so I'm going to have to do something about that.

I have the same problem of torsion bar egging out its bearing in the sheet metal brace that holds the hinge & rest of the rigging associated with the trunk lid.

I have not yet repaired my problem area, but plan on cutting a pie shaped chunk from a “Fender Washerâ€￾ of the proper size and welding it in place to renew the bearing surface. Using a large diameter fender washer will spread the load more evenly to adjoining structure, and make for a stronger repair, than using a smaller washer or scrap of sheet metal.
