I think we've reached the end of the line.

My father and I have spent every free moment of our time over the past 2 weeks on this engine swap. Things went badly for us at every step of the way. Luck has not been on our side. Despite our combined knowledge and our best efforts, we can not get this car to run correctly.

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum who has offered help and information. I have learned SO MUCH!! I especially need to thank Ceej for spending hours on the phone with me. He has also taught me ALOT about the Slant 6. But, there's only so much someone on the phone can do... especially when I don't have all of the tools needed to correctly diagnose the situation.

The most probable causes of my car trouble seem to be:
A) Improperly timed cam OR aftermarket cam of unknown spec OR both
B) Vacuum leak
C) All of the above

Needless to say, I HATE myself for not checking the cam numbers while the engine was apart.

Does anyone on this board know of a Slant-worthy mechanic in the MA/RI area that I could have look at my car? My father and I have reached a breaking point. We need help.

THANKS!!

-Matt
