a local scraped called a friend who had our #, as he had seen our 1968 Dart. He was scrappin a 1969 Dodge Dart custom slant six, with parts missing/usual rust..
it's factory yellow..I was wondering where I could find how many made yellow..it also has a map light which I had never seen..
will post pics soon. was in a back yard for 14 years behind some trees..woot!

yesterday i worked on marys slant. gas tank leaks drip...drip...drip..I had to clean out the holly float with spray carb cleaner. ran a short hose from pump to a 2 liter coke bottle filled w/gas. then had to rehook up the switch wire to the starter as it looks like someone cut it to remove as a core but left it.installed an old volare slant six radiator, loop the cut auto trans lines. fill with fresh trans fluid. check oil whick was fresh kinda, but topped off. filled radiator with water. Take Mopar battey from our 1968 and crank it over. found out the was no power going to coil so i ran a cheater cord there..vOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM. started and idled like a champ! put some air in the pasengers side rear tire and clunkked her into forward and reverse, re fulled trans fluid...backed her out of the driveway...right tire is low into the fender making noise..looks like a major issue..then drove into the back yard for a exterior clean job. mary washed her down and the I degressed the engine comaprtment and hosed it out..Mary did not get the roof very well as she is 5ft.4 inch..runs good,,but that front wheel is low.
I need to rmove the wheel and inspect the rust frame rail and such but it got dark after dinner..are the lug nuts on a 1969 drivers side regular thread? thanks all.

Here is a company that produces frame repair parts. I have installed both left & right rear front frame caps on my 67 Dart, which would from cross member forward to half way point on front frame rail encompassing dog-leg.

These caps are available from several venders such as Year One, and can sometimes be purchased for less with discount coupons etc. I got my caps through Year One several years ago.

Now I have a favor to ask of you. I am trying to figure out if my trunk hinges were installed correctly, or incorrectly; left on right, and right on left side. The hinges don’t ride on their nylon sliders well, and disengage causing trunk not to stay open at times.

Could you please take a picture from the same angle as the photo below so I can compare the hinge’s angle of the dangle, without performing a R&R test fit?

By just guessing I would say they will still be left-hand thread. I have always been able to tell just by looking @ the pitch of the threads, but another way to tell USUALLY if the studs are OE clean off the end of stud with a small wire brush, MOST ALL L-H threaded studs are marked with an L..... I am no expert but i would say, mid 71 or 72 was the cut off for left handed studs...

IF no L can be detected, the pitch of thread on a left hand thread will be pitched 'in' towards the car on the LEFT side of the stud, or pitched 'in' towards the car on the right 'side' of the stud for a Righty. I just walked out to my 76 Volare and peeked @ right side of car and noticed a big 'R' on the end of the stud. :) If I confused you, just look @ the threads from side to side of car if they are different looking pitch-wise, if they are different looking i would say the lefty's are lefty's. :)

OUCH.. looks a little tweaked to me just by looking. I know I cant seem to get the torsion struts/bars to work correctly on my Volare either.

got wheel off and the drivers side torque box is OK but 1-2 inches going sideways on its path its rusted through...gone..looks like its a backboane from side to side..any thoughts other then a straight axle mod?

I really need a picture for this one. Are you talking about the rear leaf spring mount? The torsion bar mount in the front? Something else? I've never heard of a "torque box" and your reference to a straight axle swap has me confused.
