Bought a 65 Dart S6 2 dr. from Nevada some months back. RUST FREE!!! a rarity in NJ. Orig. paint faded, but serviceable. The engine and interior needs a little work to make it my own.

Mechanically, she is excellent. Fully inspected every inch of it. she has new brakes and hoses. Fresh oil change and chassis lube, all a-o-k. this are looking good for some summer roadwork!

But here is what I've done over the past couple of weeks on it.

Electrical Mods: proper headlight relay mod, 2-10ga. wires from alt. to battery, sub-box wiring all completed last week. 4 speakers w/ Am/Fm/CD. underdash mount by PO. functional, not pretty. will address that some other time.

Headlights (H6024NH) STILL have not arrived at the local A-1 Autp Parts. Twice they were sent the wrong ones from their supplier. If they fail again this week, I'll source them elsewhere. then on to proper alignment ala'Dan reference.

Voltmeter: bought, to be installed tomorrow.

Fuel Delivery! Proper S6 Fuel line mod. installed. Also, the original BBD is back from the rebuilders (Custom Carb Rebuild, Middlesex NJ) Original was awful dirty, and puking fuel from seams and accel. pump. NOW? looks BEAUTIFUL!!!

Mixture at 2.5 turns out. Started right up, ran perfectly. set the high speed and curb idle. Next, checked the lean rev. drop to set the mixture. Turns out, 2.25 turns out seems correct. Carb works great, steady clean idle, spools up nicely.

Other stuff: Rad. hoses were newer, but the heater hoses were beat up. Changed those today as well.

Interior Update: re-dyed carpet in, new windlace in, window sweeps in, headliner bows back (temp), roof insulation in, seatbelts in. Painted door tops OEM color, they were sprayed black by PO.

Waiting for: back seat from the upholsterer (swapping covers), will put them back in when he installs the new headliner (REM) matching front bench seat is installed.
