Lou I plan to start tuning at 7 psi but plan too run around 15 psi of boost but everything plans on my AFR numbers as u well no. Timing is set at about 15* advanced but I haven't put the motor under load yet and will probably have to lock the timing in at about 26-28* advanced
26-28* is wrong I reread the info I have 23* is the right one
Plugs are gaped at .028 nkg gr5

26-28 deg total under even 7psi will probably detonate. Do you have any timing control installed or planned? I have yet to do that, and expect some significant gains off the line and under low booost levels.

Drove my turbo Dart to the Starlite Drive-In theater tonight iwith my wife Christine. So much fun.

Happy whooshing...

No Lou u misunderstood out I was saying when I get the car tuned in and running my desired boost 15 psi then its my understanding via Ryans and Toms builds and post I've read they recommend around 23* advanced or do I have it wrong this is my first forced inducted project
I miss spoke in one of the previous post!!

I do have a MSD BTM with a 6 al ign but its currently not installed I was going to try and keep it simply for this season being its getting late in the year for us guys up north and I'm still about a month away before ill beable to test on the road
Any and all help is appreciated

I have never been on a dyno. My '68 Dart has made about 250 RWHP based on dragstrip numbers. 9 psi max boost, t60-1 turbonetics turbo, no intercooler, 16-18 deg total mech advance, MS1 port EFI. 3450 lb car on the starting line.

Start with 17-18 degrees total timing and advance it as you tune it.

Yes, I run 23* total and 27* initial. Kinda weird I know but it works good. I pack it plum full of meth, psi and octane, my stock way bottom is still zingin with no pingin. Yours is looking good so far. If you can't get a correct tune on your carb at WOT, put it back to the correct location (front to back). Worked better for me that way. Later
