cant seem to find the torque spec of the cam bolt anywhere, and would you suggest a dab of red locktite? |

1978 manual, 225 engine, section 9, page 16: Tighten camshaft sprocket lock bolt to 35 foot-pounds. Same page: Timing cover and oil pan bolts; torque to 200 inch-pounds Olaf. |

Yes, definitely use loctite. I usually run mine to about 50 ft-lbs... Lou |

I agree with Lou,I had one come loose at 35lbs,Pulled it and used loctite at 50lbs,no more problems.This was on a motor I was spinning close to 6000.Mark |

Well if factory says 35. I'm sure its fine with a stock motor with a nice dab of locktite. |
