ok so i overheated my car by a weird chance my thermostat quit working so i warped the head need a new one, does anyone know where to get one.

for a 65 slant six 225 :shock:

Junkyard,or you can try craigslist. It must have overheated A LOT to "warp" a cast iron head. You sure you cant just machine it?

tried craigslist found one but kinda rough condition and when the thermostat worked again the gauge said 275 and was still rising this is when i went along at the taking apart things i could machine but i feel it would cost more than its worth

Machine the head.

You can get the machine shop to put a flat surface on it for (likely) cheaper than shipping a used head... which may also need machining.

Besides, now is your chance to up the compression ratio by milling the head!
