I have a date to pull a complete slant OD set up from a late 70's van. Will that shifter work on an A body or other Mopar?

When I dropped the shorty 833OD in my Duster (vintage unknown) My firnd told me the reverse linkage may have been from a truck. It did make me cut the exhaust and I will need to re route that.

If you use the van shifter in an A-body, the hand doing the shifting will be about even with the rear view mirror. Also, the van floor is flat whereas an A body floor is tilted. I encourage you to pull the complete manual transmission linkage form the van, including the pedal setup, but I doubt much of it will work in your Abody. You will have good luck selling the manual transmission setup to a vanner since they are always looking for the parts to convert vans to manual transmissions. Post the parts for sale over on www.vannin.com
