My turn signal base (the part the turn signal lever screws into) is loose / sloppy. The base is held in place with a bolt and if it is too tight then it is difficult to use the turn signals. If it is less tight then the base becomes loose / sloppy after using the turn signal.

I need to know how to prevent the base form becoming sloppy / loose over time. I am becoming frustrated at removing the steering wheel to tighten the turn signal base.
