I posted a message a while back about not being able to put a Hyper Pack manifold on a truck because the disk brake power booster was in the way.I put on an Offy manifold 12 years ago as part of a re build. After the last rebuild/ upgrade a year ago I made a carberator spacer with 4 isolated barrels with a 3" rise And a 3" offset, a 45 degree "slanted" affair. anyway I found a noticeable gain in lowend I'm now committed to haveing it welded directly to the intake I feel I can increase the offset 1/2" this way and better direct the flow. I should mention at this point that the carb is mounted "sideways" Primarys inboard, secondarys outbound. Ive been told that when the carb is relocated 90 degrees gains can be had by dividing the plenium. In other words 1-2-3 gets one primary and secondary and 4-5-6 gets one primary and secondary like two two barrels the idle ajusting screws would operate indepentantly and it was pointed out to me today that gas bleeds through the idle circut though all fazes of operation. Any experiances,Theory, or strong opinions. thanks in advace Bruce Johnson

I currently run a divided plenium Hyper-Pak with a 600 cfm Holley.

This set-up has much better idle and low speed throttle response, it "gives away" a little high RPM HP but that is over 5500 RPM.
