Hi all

Im having trouble finding the correct setup for my RHD Dodge Dart Slant Six.

Can someone please take a closeup picture and measure the Rod pictured in this diagram below, item number 14-11-9, so I can fabricate something that will work on my car.



If your LHD Slant six is equipped with A/C, yours should be using throttle cable and very similar to the setup ive shown above.

For clarification (since I'm the one sent 'im the diagram):

1. There are two rods with ref number 14-11-9 in the diagram. The one he needs measured is the left one, running from carburetor throttle lever down to the bellcrank on the linkage bracket. Roughly 6 inches long, but a precise measurement is needed.

2. This rod, part number 2268 356, was used from 1966-'68 in all Left-hand drive slant-6 automatic B- and C-body cars, all '67-'68 LHD slant-6 automatic A-body cars, and all '66 LHD slant-6 A-body cars with factory A/C. An almost identical rod was used on '62-'65 slant-6 automatic B- and C-bodies.

3. The '69-up setup is similar, but not the same; the rod in question on these later cars is slotted at its lower end.

Also, the pin itself is a standard hardware item called a "clevis pin". All it needs to be the right diameter and the right length.

I just bought a 2bbl manifold and carb for my /. Is this the cable needed to make it work? I thought I could use my standard 'rod' throttle that came with the 1bbl. Any suggestions?

The object of this thread is a foreign '66 Dart with right-hand drive. Totally different situation than your car. Please start a new thread to ask about your 2bbl conversion.
