The Super Six was officially discontinued before the official 1983-84 change from blue to black engine paint, though I wouldn't raise an eyebrow to see a factory black-painted late-production Super Six. See here for chronology of engine colors, and then paint your engine whatever color you prefer. |

Red and yellow ended well before the 1977 start of Super Six availability. |
