My friend's brother sent me an email saying, "Nick said you know a lot about old trucks." Debatable...anyways.

He's thinking about buying an 87 Dakota. He says it has a 3.9 v6 in it. Could that be a Slant 6 in it? I don't know enough about Dodge trucks off the top of my head, but I know that they put slants in trucks and not just in gorgeous Valiants like my own.

Any idea?

3.9 was the V6 based on the 318. Last year for the slant was 87 in the D series truck. Got one in my 87 D100 (well it is a 72 motor with a Super Six).
