Not quite.

Volvos were available with several different 4-speed transmissions (M41, M410, M46) equipped with Laycock de Normanville overdrive units on the back. Gear Vendors either starts with LdN overdrives or uses copies of LdN overdrives (I can't recall which, it's one or the other) in their conversion kits. From what I have heard, they (GV) very jealously guard the supply of parts that would let you easily adapt a Volvo OD unit to anything else. If you order the adaptor parts, you must specify the serial number of the GV overdrive unit you're working with, or they won't supply the parts. So I'm told, and I can believe it.
