Wayne drug one up from a junkyard for the red car. IIRC he gave like $20 for it.

Try rockauto.com I don't think they ever were higher then any place local. Although, quality wise you're probably better off getting an original used one from a wrecking yard. The only thing that typically goes wrong with them are the solenoid contacts that wear and those are available - Dan had a post that detailed the numbers and pictures. |

The black part of the housing just doesn't look right... For the price its going for you really otta look at a local yard, they should be plentiful. |

I bought one at the wrecking yard for 35. It turned out to be a very recent genuine chrysler rebuilt unit. Works great. It cranks much stronger than the original (faster), and is nowhere near as loud. |

The parts to rebuilt it are like 12 bucks, and take 5 minutes. Save your money and have an excuse to go to the wrecking yard. Win-win! |
