Okay, the Pertronix coil with 3.0 ohm resistance is in. I have a 4-prong ballast resistor, so to bypass it do I run a jumper from one side to the other? Thanks!

.Okay, one jumper on top, and one on bottom, from side to side.

Thanks guys. Well, I have a spare ballast resistor in my garage, so with a multimeter I checked where there was continuity, and where there was not. I then installed the two jumpers that made. The Volare runs and starts fine, so I guess that all is well.
Thanks for the responses! :D :D :D
And thank you Ted, for "field testing" this coil. 8)

Ted, I saw your message, thanks. Rather than twist the blue wires together, I just used two jumper wires, and I left the ballast resistor in place. That way, if the Pertronix coil ever does go out, I can reconnect the ballast resistor and use a stock type coil. I'm a bit cautious/paranoid in my middle age!
Thanks for your help.
Wes
