I would like to know what turbo and International head was used, also interested in the ignition system?

The ignition system? Do you mean the injection system? Also, I find the use of an International head highly suspect. The Slant Six News covered the diesel slant. I should dig out that issue.

I've never seen an ignition system on a diesel before.... :wink:

I agree Joshua, an IHC head is "iffy" at best. Unless it was just a prototype deal done by IHC. Not that they didnt have ohv 6's but I dont ever recall seeing one... Flats yeah, OHV's not that I recall.

(sans a tractor or something. {farm etc})

hello josh and sl6 sages- always wanted to see a production sl6 diesel. surprised chrysler didnt do one. never saw that article on sl6 diesels in the old sl6 news mag. i have the whole set and am familiar with the articles in it. which one had the sl6 diesel article? thanks tons paladin

I showed the picture to a budy who is a industrial diesel mechanic that restores tractors for his hobby. He didn't recognize the head as a posible international. I also asked about any 6cly internationals with a 4.0" piston center and he didn't know of one. From the picture the head really does not look tall enough to house a over head cam. So that makes me wounder if a slant cam on at least location was used? That made me wounder how the glow plugs are hooked up? The induction and exhaust setup to me seems like the easy part of the job.
