well after seeing Mike_64_Valiant turn 1 piece integrated rotors into a set of hubs got me thinking, which would be better a a base for the rotor maching ?? local bone yard has a fury with the tiny 10" rotors, and a 5th ave again with the 10" rotors heres a shot of the back side of both,

and a comparison of the wheel studs 5th ave on the left fury on the right I just really like the gran fury because the knurl goes all the way through the hole in the rotor

You will have to find a matching set of rotors, given that both cars have the same disc brake setup, it's just a matter of finding a new set of studs out of the dorman catalog that fit the bill. Given all the different manufacturers (in different nations...) it might be tough in the junkyard to find 2 OEM, 2 replacements, etc that match exactly...

The fifth ave. Rotors do look like they would be stronger. But also will be more weight. Its up to you really if you care. My hubs came off a 75 duster and have very small ribs to them almost none and loaded with studs and bearing weigh 11 pounds each. Also if you did the mustang 12.5 rotors and used the bracket I am working on, the ribs may hit the bolts and brackets.

Make sure you are getting oem factory uni-cast rotors(all one casting) there are aftermarket ones I have found and they are 2 pieces pressed together and welded, not what you want.

As far as the studs go what do you plan to do with the car? I will be doing some local autoX and roadcourses, so I checked the rules they want open end lug nuts with a minimum of 3 threads showing out the end. So I measured the with the new rotors and the wheels I will be using with lug nuts I needed a lung wheel stud. I ended up ordering moroso 3" long sfi approved studs they should fit the bill just fine.

Also there is no way I can take credit for cutting rotor hats off to make hubs. That has already been done a long time ago by a few members here and also on forabodiesonly.
