So another chapter in the saga that is my life.

I got a call from my machinist this morning and he tells me he had everything together and was turning over the crankshaft and something did not feel right. So he pulls one of the caps off and realizes that when they chamferred the oil ports the failed to polish the ports. So when he spun the crankshaft it gouged the main bearings. GAH Thankfully he out sourced the crankshaft and he is going to have the replace the bearings and fix the crankshaft.

At lest you have an honest machinist, who is proud of his workmanship, to do the work on your engine. Take care of that relationship!

Very true. I have developed a friendship with him since we started this process. I am glad he didn't just leave them gouged because I would hate to have them fail down the quarter mile or on rally.
