Was wondering if anyone else think's the K frame should be removed for painting/ Rebuilding the front end?. If so how do you work out the tourqe bars?

You don't need to remove the K frame when you rebuild the front suspension.

There is a special "torsion bar removal tool" that clamps onto the torsion bar without scratching it. You then hit the tool with a hammer to drive the torsion bars out.

There are other more "shade tree" ways to remove them, but that's the "right" way.

Rob do you have to get the torsion bars out to drop out the lower arms?

They have to walk back at least 8" to get the LCA Bushing studs to clear the K-member they are bolted through.

So you have to unbolt that and knock the torsion bar back till your cleared?
