Guys I just picked up a super six with no block numbers on the drivers side to really cross reference but the head is casting 3698447 and on the pad under one spark plug its 8 225 316 E. I no the head is 75-78 casting but what I'm trying to figure out is this a forged or cast crank I thought I may have seen something somewhere that a E in the engine code is a cast crank but if my memory serves me the E was supposed to be right after the 225E
Alittle bit of help is much appreciated

If you don't have the tall casting number on the water pump side of the block then it's a cast crank block.
