Guys I just picked up a super six with no block numbers on the drivers side to really cross reference but the head is casting 3698447 and on the pad under one spark plug its 8 225 316 E. I no the head is 75-78 casting but what I'm trying to figure out is this a forged or cast crank I thought I may have seen something somewhere that a E in the engine code is a cast crank but if my memory serves me the E was supposed to be right after the 225E Alittle bit of help is much appreciated |

If you don't have the tall casting number on the water pump side of the block then it's a cast crank block. |
