What kind of paint will work best for repainting chrome trim pieces? I have two '63 Valiants that are in need of repainting the chrome trim pieces; specifically the trunk handle, the chrome piece dividing the top from the body at the rear window and the hood ornament. These pieces have (had) a black background and in some cases red and blue painted sections. What luck have you folks had? Thanx.

2 part epoxy based paint works pretty good for this stuff, you can get this small cans of epoxy paint at most hobby shops.

For larger chrome pieces, powder coating works great but you should have a large "lot" to make it worth the minimum charge cost.
