How do you dismantle this unit?

I need to replace one of the slides as the "finger" is broken ( I have another one for spares).

I need to know how to remove the pin that slots trough all the slides and if I need to use another pin during the rebuild.

Thanks

The factory serviced the PB shifter as an assembly only so it was not designed to be dis-assembled.

With that said, you will have to remove the 4 small bolts that hold on the sheetmetal "back plate"... at that point, 5 springs come-out. Next you grind-off one of the crimped ends on the cross-pin, then slide that out, to free the Park plate & button "forks".
It is best to have the unit clamped in a vise, with the button opening facing down so all the forks do not fall-out at once.
Good luck...

Thanks DD.

Given I need to grind off the end of the pin do you have advice on another source for a replacement pin.

Do not cut the end of the pin off... just grind down the flattened tabs or "ears", just enough to slide the pin out... then re-use the same pin.
