here is a piece of info from Holley , on the current part issue with these carbs. Just posting this because I have found much help here in the past. Daytona Carb Parts is now handling most of the stuff on these 1920s. Check them out, Phone is 386-427-7108, don't know about a website, just yet. hope this helps someone |

I have looked around on their website, and I have gotten an email response from them as well. If anyone here actually buys and installs one of their carbs, I would like to hear about it. What does it look like, quality-wise, and how does it perform. |

Those carbs aren't overstock or licensed or anything like that from Holley. They are from Argentina, and are made by Caresa. They're a current-production sorta copy of the local Argentinian Holley 1bbl (which itself was a variant of the 1920) used on a whole slew of different makes and models. They will bolt to a Slant-6 intake and as you can see from this link, they are available with the rod-type throttle lever. Manual choke only. Open bowl vent only. "7001" with light metal throttle body, "7001H" with cast iron throttle body ("H" for "Hierro", Spanish for "Iron"). This is a very primitive/simple carburetor without most of the advances and improvements made on US carbs since the early 1960s, but it is a new carburetor. Too bad no repop of the Holley 1922 used in later years in Argentina; that's a much nicer 1bbl carb. |
