I was tuning the carb on the Dart yesterday when something banged in the bell housing of the A-904 transmission. Took the starter off and found that one of the mounting blocks on the torque converter broke loose. Now I’m in a pickle because we have a race this Friday and Saturday and I need to find a replacement ASAP! I don’t believe the tc is stock (see pic) and I’m hoping someone on here can assist me in what I need to get as a replacement. The A-904 will eventually be replace but not until the end of the race season.

Thanks,

Andrew

If it's that short of time Frame I would just weld it back on in the correct location!

I'm leaning that way but seems like we bust something every time on the track. Just finished replacing the transmission tail shaft that twisted in two. Hopefully with the installation of an engine torque strap we solved that issue.

Welding didn't work and have bigger issues. Will a 904 out of a 83' chrysler cordoba work? I have the 1.87" pilot. I know the driveline will need changed.
