I would like to find another oil pan for our 67 Dart (S6) engine.

I was offered an early A oil pan, and found a later aspen oil pan (f body) on ebay. But I'm not sure what would fit.

What oil pans can be used where? what year pans are compatible with the 1967 Dart?

Thanks

Early A pan (66-down) will not fit. Aspen pan and pickup should fit without modification. Make sure the pickup sits right on the floor (slight downward pressure) when installed (use play dough or grease to check).

I thought the early A pan would fit in a late chassis, but a late A pan will not fit an early chassis? :?

The 60-66 pan will fit into a 67 & up A body but the center link will hit the drain plug at full steering "lock".

Based on the fact that smart Chrysler engineers spent lot's of time getting the correct engine / chassis fitment with each oil pan... it is really worth the time, effort & cost to find and use the correct oil pan for your engine / chassis combo.

Oops, I figured the long sump on the 60-66 would cause more steering linkage interference.

I'm looking through older posts trying to find the photo Doug posted with what each pan is. I don't see it in the articles section either... It may have been in one of the SSRNs as well...

Anyone have the photo with each pan listed?

Hey Rob. I think I remember the same thread you're thinking of. During my search I did run across this one that may be helpful.

http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=59033

And I've never tried this before until now, but right click the picture and select "Search Google for Picture" and just look at the results. It's kinda scary what Google can do.

Thanks guys! This should help all of us.

I plan to go crazy with the pressure washer and get all of my pans (and other schtuff) cleaned and organized as I move into the new shop.

A little steering linkage interference is no big deal, as long as you remember not to turn it all the way, and as long as you forget to tell your ex-wife not to turn it all the way.

If you had told her, would it have been any different? Asking for a friend.

Let's just say if you ever need me to testify that you told her, I got your back!
