Hi all!!!
Just wanted to show you my new valve cover!!!! I have always loved the look of the cast aluminum Mopar valve covers on V8 and always wanted that for the Slant. But Mopar never did that for us Slanters....
I did have the Clifford and the Offy valve cover in my engines, but they were not what I wanted.

So I took my Offy valve cover and a Mopar cast air cleaner lid to a friend of mine and made my own!!!! And he actually made the cast molds to make them available to other!!!!

Sorry for the delay, but I couldn't find the pics in my cel phone and I almost forgot how to upload pic here!

Here they are!!! Mine is actually a little different without fins on the front, only on top and for breather I'm using a twist on Mopar unit on the front and without any breather on the back. I'll post pics once I'm able to take new ones.

Those look really nice. In order to get my interest, they need proper breathing and PCV provisions and a baffle under the breather and PCV holes. Please see this post for the science, and this post and here for the annoying workarounds that have to be done on covers that don't have baffles.

(Also, it probably won't be an issue with small quantities being sent to individual users, but do be advised that from time to time Chrysler takes very seriously unauthorised or unlicenced use of their trademarks, which include "Mopar", "Mopar Performance", and the Pentastar shape.)

Ditto on everything what Dan said. Maybe instead of "Mopar" Performance the covers could say "slanted" or "in line" or have no words at all.

Casually looking for a Clifford hyperpak intake for cheap.

The idea was only to show you what has been done here, not to run a test ssaale here for the valve covers. It will be difficult to ship them and also expensive since this are being made in very short runs. They are around USD310 each, for us is ok, since thats how much we pay for an Offy after shipping and import taxes, but for you I know it is too much for this part.

On the other hand for breathers you can use stock ones withou trouble and for baffles it still needs to be develop.

Those look great. There are several Mopar related names from the past that I'd consider using, like "Red Ram", "Firedome" or "Firepower". I don't think those are trademarked anymore, but I could be wrong about that. I kind of like Red Ram the best. It would be good to also have an alloy timing cover. Those valve covers are the kind of effort that I like to see.

Those are really nice looking! I like yours without the ribs the whole way. Good job.

2 Mopars come with Spark plug tubes. One is a world class, racing machine. The other is a 426 CI. boat anchor!

An engne builder from the golden era of the Slant Six Racing in TC Races develop a cast timing cover just like you mentioned. His name is Benavidez I should try to contact him, but he is old now and retired I think. I'll try to find out some info about this, at least a picture to show you.
