I did the HEI Model without the relay because I did all new wiring. The Ron Francis tech said that their wiring was set up for HEI and no relay was necessary. So far it is running good. But the random stall makes me wonder if I should have used the relay.

So, do you need the relay with all new wiring and HEI?
