hi guys. I rebuilt the carb but have the dreaded peice left over. It looks to be the idle compensator gasket. It's a small yellow oring. any idea where this goes? It's not in the manual.

Thanks

It goes behind the bimetallic hot idle compensator, which in turn is behind the small rectangular sheetmetal cover on the driver's side of the carb.

Then you don't need that O-ring.

I thought it came off the the carb and not from the kit. I must have been wrong. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. Now, to get rid of the vacuum leak at the trottle rod.
