Anyone have any info pro or con on the smaller diameter filters that are out there for our engine. Looks like they would give a little more room around the distributor to work. Wondering how much filtration you would be giving up?

The smaller diameter filters are available short and long just like the bigger filters. You'd have to cut one open to compare the actual filter size, but the difference probably isn't enough to worry about. Unless your engine is filthy inside the filter is not getting near its holding capacity during normal oil change intervals. A better quality small filter is probably preferable to a big cheap filter. Wix 51516 or 51516XP is the small diameter tall filter and is what's used on the SRT-4.

Thanks Josh. I may run them on my truck then.
