Tough to tell much from pics of operating lights, because the dynamic range of an image (whether on film or in pixels) is way lower than that of the human eye. See the difference in appearance of the first and second pics of the Philips LED-equipped brake light?

Given the brightly-lit daylight background of these pics, those brake lights are probably OK. But it's worth to check them as described here because these are, after all, life safety equipment.
