https://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black-r ... ift-light/ I just ordered this digital tachometer to install on my 66' D300. I just want to make sure that I understand the installation properly. The gauge has a red (switched +), black (dedicated ground), and green (tachometer control wire). I want to confirm that I should run the green wire to the negative side of the ignition coil. Thanks Scott |

Yes, the green to the coil negative. The instructions do not appear to take into account points ignition until the end of section 2. and states: "Tachometer Filter : It may be necessary to use a Tachometer Filter if you vehicle has an points style ignition system. You can purchase a Tachometer Filter from www.GlowShift.com or an Authorized Dealer." Honestly, if it doesn't work properly with points they have gone really cheap with the tachometer circuitry. I would look elsewhere myself. |

FYI- not to rain on your parade, but I tried a glow shift oi lpressure gauge once and was less than impressed wit htheir quality. I hope you have better luck, but you shouldn't be surprised if the tach has problems. Gloshift has some good gauge mouting products, though. |
