My NOS Holley 1945 arrived from Tel Aviv Israel yesterday (eBay seller) and I'd like.to mount it up and connect the new electric choke.
Question:. What do I need to do to the carb prior to putting it into service?
I will follow the factory service manual procedures for baseline adjustments.
Thanking you.

Well, the 1945 is bolted on and running pretty good, right off the bat.
I have a 1234 electric choke but there was no available hole on the choke butterfly plate to attach the rod.
I would have to remove the fast idle cam rod to attach the choke rod.
Does the electric choke take over the job of the fast idle cam?
Should I just go ahead and unhook the fast idle cam rod to affix that electric choke rod?
Thanks.

I do not believe that the choke takes the place of the fast idle cam.... usually they work together... although you may be able to get by with out it...

Thank you. Yes, I think they should work together which is why I'm loathe to nix the FIC. I have a solution to attempt which is replacement of the choke plate with one that allows for a choke rod. Time will tell...
