So i was thinking for putting a A/F in for tuning ... i getting ready to swap around intakes and carbs to see that i like more and what is the better MPG ...

What is the diff in a wide ban AF and a non wide ban A/F
and where is the best place to put the bung .. in the down/header pipe of more down stream ?

Weld the sensor nut to exhaust pipe just after manifold so that the wire end is at least 10 degrees up from horizontal. This keeps the sensor alive longer. Wide band sensors give more accurate readings outside the ideal AFR but for normal cabruretor adjustmend the narrow band sensor with compatible meter is good enough.

"Wideband" sensors are able to measure and provide a reference to a wider range of air fuel ratios. "Narrowband" sensors only measure a narrow band of ratios on either side of stoichiometrich (14.7:1 air/fuel ratio). A narrowband generall can tell you rich, lean, or perfect. A wideband can tell you how rich or how lean. Given the choice, I would always opt for a wide band sensor and gauge, but they ar emore expensive than a narrow band. You can tune with a narrow band, but it is faster with a wide band.
