I have an 87 D150 \6... looking for recs on the best single barrel carb to replace the old original. I do not want to rebuild and am not looking to replace the manifold for a different set up. Links to your recs for brand, best price etc would be most appreciated.

You can get a new replacement from Mikes Carb Parts I believe... And the old one may be worth something if it has NOT been remanufactured, as that process generally ruins all carburetors... So consider selling the used one in the parts for sale section IF it has not been remanufactured!

Otherwise It would be easiest to replace the carb you have with one just like it.. so what is on the truck right now?

Does your truck have the Lean Burn system installed, and is it still hooked up and functional?
