About ready to bolt on. About $285 invested so far. Carb has been rebuilt.

Actually, the carb in pic 1 is sitting on the adaptor backwards, but who's counting. measuring the throttle bores, the 2 barrel is about 25% larger than the 1 barrel. Bridgeport work was a freebee from a friend who is a machinist. Set up was more time consuming than the actual cutting. I decided to go with aluminum because it is a little easier to work with / weld, and I could drop a little weight, and I had a chance to buy one in good shape for $75. Adapter was a 3/4" thick aluminum plate ( scrap ) from my local steel supplier ( $15 ). Carb was in good shape, but an unknown so I rebuilt it. I was originally going to bolt on the adapter, but I was talked in to having it welded on for - no leaks. It will be going on a stock 225 except for a slight CR mod - 7.8:1.

Some linkage pics. Used Lokar for the throttle linkage and Trans-Dapt for the kick-down linkage. Obviously had to fab up the brackets. Still cleaner than the factory stuff.

Thanks big D. Actually got it out a little yesterday. After some minor carb fuel needle and trans linkage adjustments, the little slant runs pretty good. Seat of the pants improvement at higher RPM's. Throttle pedal feel is slightly lighter than the factory, so I might add a return spring to go along with the carb spring. I did add a trans kick down lever return spring at the trans. Time for a 150 Nitrous shot!
