I’ve got a couple of the four pin modules laying around, I know at least one is trash. Is there a way to test these at home, off the truck? The reason I’m asking is that my truck popped a module last night, and I also know one of these is still good. There’s no visual difference in the three of them. I’ve searched the Internet, the ramcharger site, and around here. All I’ve found is “take it to the parts store”, or how to test it with a full Chevy set up, or with MSD. I’m running a Mopar EI dizzy, e coil, relay, and have the battery, v reg, relay, alt, and mounting plate commonly grounded. My parts store is full of idiots. There’s gotta be a way to test these without every component to see if they simply pass/fail from something like a dead short. My shop is fairly well set up. I even have an oscilloscope.

Thanks

You need a trigger, distributor is easiest, a coil and a 12V power source. You're mocking up the ignition system on the bench.

Drive it to Mason Dixon Dragway next weekend and race it. If you make it there and race with us the HEI module is good! Come on!!! :D :D
